Ordering a new print serial through subscription or series standing order (sso)

Subscriptions (Annuals and Periodicals)

With rare exceptions, orders for subscriptions are placed by the acquisitions unit that handles serial orders for your library. The same units are also responsible for canceling any ongoing orders. Series Standing Orders

Responsibility for placing series standing orders (SSOs) is distributed among serial and monograph acquisitions units, depending on the library placing the order. This distribution of responsibility grows from the history of library technical services units being centralized into ITS at different times, with some local processing arrangements retained to lessen disruption to effective relationships and workflows.
